The Jackson Police Department is investigating the report of an attempted luring incident involving a child.
Officers responded to the residence of an 11-year-old child who reported that on Sunday, at approximately 5:00 pm while walking on Woodlane Road in the area of Wisconsin Drive, he was approached by a male driving a mini van. The vehicle stopped and the male rolled the window down and told the child that his mother had sent him to pick him up. The child replied that he did not, and ran away toward the direction of Woodlane Park. The male then drove away towards South New Prospect Road.
The vehicle was described as a gray colored minivan.
The driver/suspect was described as a white male with short, curly dark hair, a thin black goatee, wearing black colored sunglasses.
The driver left the area on Woodlane Road traveling toward South New Prospect.
Anyone who may have any further information about this incident or the suspect is asked to contact Det. Michael Goelz at 732-928-1111 or leave a message at the department’s StopIt app (code: JPDtips08527).

What color minivan? Did the guy have an accent?
It clearly says GRAY. There’s a pretty good description there too. Asking if he has an accent is like asking if he only has a sense of smell in one nostril.
An accent is commonly used in describing criminals. I don’t think the information posted will catch him but it will help if he tries again. So Mr. Read it again, no need to get angry and just keep your ignorance to yourself
