Further enhancing the largest Daf Yomi shiur in history, Klal Govoah has added HaRav Moshe Yosef Scheinerman shlita to the program
for this Sunday’s Start-The-Daf initiative in memory of ArtScroll founder Rabbi Meir Zlotowitz zt’l.
Rabbi Scheinerman, mara d’asra of Kollel Bnei Yeshivos, will be offering divrei bracha following Daf Yomi given by Sruly Bornstein, magid shiur of Lakewood Daf Yomi. The program will begin at 10 AM sharp with a siyum on Shas by Ira Zlotowitz in memory of his father and will conclude by 11:10 AM.
With excitement for Daf Yomi reaching record levels, organizers are encouraging as many people as possible to join Klal Yisroel in learning the first daf of Masechtas Berachos as the cycle begins anew, even if just for a single day. Response to the event has been so enthusiastic that it has been moved to a larger venue that can accommodate 350 people, with over 2400 participants joining in through a worldwide livestream.
The shiur is being co-hosted by Lakewood Daf Yomi, ArtScroll, the Orthodox Union’s All Daf and Eastern Union Funding. Anyone who commits to learning the first daf on January 5th l’iluy nishmas Rav Meir Yaakov ben HaGaon HaRav Aaron zt’l is eligible to receive a free digital download of ArtScroll’s Mesechtas Berachos and will be entered into a raffle to win one of three iPads loaded with the full ArtScroll Schottenstein Digital Shas.
