We regret to inform you of the Petirah of R’ Eliezer (Lenny) Kesselman Z”L, a longtime Lakewood resident who was Niftar today.
R’ Eliezer Z”L was a Mispallel at Khal Anshei Sefard (Rabbi Blech’s Shul) for approximately 50 years.
He was a Talmud at Yeshiva Chaim Berlin before attending college for engineering.
During the early days of the Lakewood Cheder, Lenny, known as an Ehrlicher Yid and a Talmid Chacham, constantly helped out the Cheder with engineering issues of their old buildings, and refused to take payment for it.
He was employed by DuPont in Parlin, NJ, until becoming ill just before Rosh Hashana. He was 80 years old.
He leaves behind his wife Harriet, and his children Mrs. Zipora Minzer, R’ Avrohom Kesselman, Mrs. Tamar Cohen, R’ Shalom Kesselman, R’ Baruch Kesselman, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Levaya will take place at 11:30 AM at the 7th Street Chapel, with Kevurah in the nearby Bais Olam.
Shiva will take place at the Kesselman home, 1080 Forest Avenue.
Baruch Dayan Ha’emes.
