First it was AT&T, now it’s Sprint.
Sprint users in and around Lakewood tell TLS they are experiencing issues with their service. The company is aware of the issue.
“Some customers across Central New Jersey may be experiencing issues with Sprint wireless service,” the company wrote. “Our network engineers are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience.”

UPDATE: At around 1:00 AM, the company wrote, “Sprint service in Central Jersey was fully restored at 11:05pm CT – we apologize for the inconvenience to our customers.”
Some, however, were still complaining of issues.
UPDATE: At 8:38 AM, the company wrote, “Hello there! The current outage is in ongoing status & we still don’t have an estimated time on when it will be fixed. Rest assured that our Network Team is aware of this issue & is working to get it resolved ASAP. We appreciate your patience. -AR”
Nothing new. I’ve been living in Lakewood for 5 years and have always had calls dropped, messages delayed and Waze or maps not picking up a signal.
Sprint is great in nyc. That’s about it.
This is affecting those that have service with alternate providers (such as TPO) that use the Sprint network as well.
Also verizon have recently also gotten pretty bad
This wasn’t dropped calls. It was completely dead
AT&T still failed on their promises and service is still bad in many parts of Lakewood …. they blaming it on construction in town smho
For all those with kosher phones which operate mostly on 3G, this may not be a temporary problem. 3G equipment has already been dismantled in many major cities. Lakewood and vicinity will be gone in less than a year.
True. After 24 hours of no data on Sprint it’s only LTE for me now.
As user demand increases the system will always need to be upgraded to accomodate the usage.
It appears to be fine now.
