The following is a letter from Shlomo Werdiger and Dr. Irving Lebovics, the co-chairmen of Am Echad, a coalition of American Orthodox Jewish leaders dedicated to preserving one Jewish people. The letter is addressed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the honorable MK Yuval Steinitz who have assumed a key policy making role regarding proposed major changes at the Kotel. The letter exhorts them to preserve the kedushat haKotel and “not undermine the longstanding custom of this holy area.”
