Plant supervisors at Mountain Fresh Dairy this afternoon provided the following statement to TLS amid a recall over some of their milk products sold in Lakewood.
“The State of NJ has been in the plant for a few days last week. They went through the whole plant, they opened every single connection. Everything tested perfect with no health concerns at all. The State asked for the voluntary recall, and the plant complied voluntarily with the request, just to be 100% certain that no one of it’s customers would even have the slightest chance of an issue. The public’s safety is of utmost concern at Mountain Fresh Dairy.”
The State of New York made the recall not New Jersey.
If everything was 100% why would they ask for a recall?
And why does NPGS have no knowledge of this recall? (I called them to askif they world accept a return)
This is a bogus letter from the dairy.
The mistake of location (stating New Jersey) and poor grammar (i.e. the use of it’s instead of its) give it away.
But the most convincing reason is that it was not signed with a name.
There is absolutely no authority behind this statement. And based upon my research, Norman Rausman and Zeev Rothschild are the owners.
And as such, they should have signed their name to the letter and provided supporting documentation from the appropriate governmental agency.
By stating, “The State of NJ (sic) has been in the plant for a few days last week,” says nothing.
What was the agency that investigated and what were their findings?
In short, I wouldn’t trust the health of the product or the integrity of the company’s owners.
