LPD to dedicate highway in memory of Officer William “Nichie” Preslar

The Lakewood Police Department will be dedicating a highway, marking the 10 year anniversary of the Line-of-Duty death of Officer William “Nichie” Preslar.

Officer Preslar, a six year veteran, was killed in an car accident on May 14, 2007, on New Egypt Road, when he swerved to avoid striking a deer, and struck a tree.

The event will be taking place on Sunday morning, May 7.
