Lakewood Yungerman assaulted and injured during attempted robbery

A Yungerman was assaulted and injured during an attempted robbery in Lakewood, police confirm to TLS.

At about 12 AM yesterday, the 27-year-old resident was walking in the area of 7th Street and Princeton Avenue when he heard footsteps behind him. The man turned around, and saw two hooded men running towards him.

One of the men shouted at him demanding his money and then punched him in the head, police say.

The victim managed to get away and fled into a nearby Shul.

The next morning, the victim woke up in pain, and went to the hospital, where he realized he had a fractured elbow – which may have occurred by blacking out and falling during the attack, police say.

Due to the tight hoodies, the victim was unable to get a good look at the suspects’ faces, but it is believed they were Hispanic men, police said.

Police are investigating and reviewing surveillance video from the area.

  1. If gun laws would allow law abiding citizens to carry guns Things like this wouldn’t be so common to happen as the would be robbers would think twice before committig theses types of crimes

  2. These perpetrators if they were indeed hispanic are really dumb. When they get caught they will be subject to immediate deportation. Is it really worth the 100 bucks they may possibly make from a robbery??
