A Lakewood woman today was injured while playing Pokémon Go, officials confirm to TLS.
The woman was reportedly chasing a Pokémon near her home when she tripped on a sidewalk.
Lakewood EMS responded to the scene and transported the patient to Ocean Medical Center with “multiple injuries,” officials said. Injuries were said to be non life-threatening.
This is the first reported injury in the Township associated with the popular game, which has already claimed the lives of players around the world.

how much crazier can this generation get R”L?
how many accidents & tragedies are waiting ahead C”V? AS PEOPLE cross the road looking at their phones trying to find pokemon & as they are driving R”L just crazy…. just insane…. why don’t they stop the game before tragedies happen C”V (Some have already happened just 3 weeks after it started)
Pokemon is a GAME find something better to do with your precious gift of life Hashem gave you “uvacharta b’Chaim” still need some game time to relax find a safe and enjoyable game that won’t put your precious life and other lives in danger C”V
it is not a yiddishe zach and really is goyrem so much bittle toyrah
oh vey
Lets say it pokemon did not trip her. Not looking where she was going that threw her down. I’m sick of people blaming this game, that sign, for their own doings
You cant blame the game when the owner of the phone chose to not oay attention to her surroundings. Ive played the game plenty and not once have i come close to hurting myself simply because i used my common sense and was aware of my surroundings. We have plenty of people in Lakewood driving around talking on the cellphone but we dont blame the cellphone companies now do we?

This is a worldwide phenomenon, not a local issue
As crazy as it is I don’t think they’re hearing your line of mussar.
What had this world become??
Ya a phone can b on safe but something important, the game is just a time killer with enjoyment until some thing happens rm”l
Mamesh Nuts. As in, Giht Meshigeh. In California, a guy walked off a cliff. As #1 says, how crazy can this generation get ? Very, apparently.
I’ve lived in Lakewood since the early 1990’s and I can say one thing with certainty. Go Pokemon go wooohoo.
Men learnt nisht kein mussar…..this is what happens
If you’re wasting your time, why not do it safely. You don’t get more out of this game than any other.
