With the shorter days posing a danger to pedestrians, it’s imperative that the street lights around town are in working order.
During the winter months, students are out walking home from school when it’s already dark, adding a lot to the pedestrian traffic around town.
If you notice a light out in your area, calling it in would hopefully help minimize the risk of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.
You can report a streetlight outage online here, (and here for non-JCP&L customers) or by callingĀ (732) 364-2500 x 7653 (POLE).

Thanks. Now, what do I do to report a street that has no lampposts at all ?! Berkowitz Rd, which runs between Kennedy and County Line, has no lights of which to speak. It’s mamesh a sakanah for pedestrians and drivers alike on that Rd. Anyone know whom I should call ?! Thanx.
Sincerely,
Running scared in the dark
To get the non-working street light fixed more quickly, a pole number, in addition to its location, well help when you call in.

I called and that extension was answered by the Lkwd PD. She took down the info and said that someone will be sent to check it out.
They recently changed the phone system so I don’t think the former extension still exists.
