As earlier reported, an outside company has been brought into Lakewood to semi-permanently fill the hundreds of potholes around town.
The ‘pothole killer’ machine, reportedly the same machinery utilized by the state during the winter, will fill the holes without getting out of the truck, and with material intended to last.
The company says that unlike cold-patches, these repairs are expected to last approximately 44-48 months, and have a very small failure rate.
Also as reported, should the repairs prove successful, the township intends to lease these trucks for future projects, the Mayor announced last week.
[TLS-50. Thank you Kimberly Tice and James D.]
Very nice machine but the fillings are bumpy not smooth. Big waste of our tax dollars
Looks like a big moving coffee machine.
People always complain in Lakewood
And If you pay taxes and you get everything back in return you do not pay taxes!!
Pine blvd (off shilo) has huge crators. Busted 2 tires there
its not meant to be a permanent fix..but it fills the holes..that everyone is complaining about
“”semi-permanently””???????
Nice. Should be all filled by next winter……
Thank goodness, seen these machines throughout NJ and am happy they are here.
One truck? I thought we were getting a fleet? Lol
11th st. betw. Clifton and Madison is desperate!
I am originally from Brooklyn and every few years they scrape the streets and repave them. It’s standard protocol. When pavement gets old it needs to be replaced. It’s not rocket science.
east end ave is horrendous – like a horse n buggy ride goin down that street.
also major hole in (NE) corner of county line & somerset rds
is there a place online or ph# to report holes?
What about the holes that were already filled with cold patch. Will they be dug out and refilled by the pot hole killer?
Cedaroe off 14 st is terrible
nope they will not fill holes already filled..but they will check them. Oh and Pine Blvd is main drag..Shilo is off of Pine Blvd not the other way around.
Unless they changed the signs around again.
omy east end avenue is crazy bump bump bump i barely look at cars but at street so that i can bypass potholes its crazy! glad they are trying to find a solution for it. something must be done!
