UEZ meeting LDC_wmYehuda Abraham, director of business development and co-coordinator of the UEZ for Lakewood Township, has announced that Lakewood Township will be considering proposals for several professional services with the Lakewood Development Corporation (LDC) for 2010. Businesses with expertise in corporate counsel (licensed attorney or law firm), auditor (N.J. public accountant and CPA), licensed N.J. engineer, licensed N.J. planner, public relations and marketing consultant, licensed N.J. architect with a focus on historic preservation and restoration, and professional appraisal services (N.J. qualified and registered) may submit an RFP (Request for Proposal) for this coming year.

The award of services will be based on experience and reputation in the field; knowledge of non-profit corporations, the Township of Lakewood and the subject matter to be addressed under the contract; availability to attend required meetings; other factors, such as documented past performance of the same or similar services; demonstrated clear understanding of the scope of work and related objectives; a completed proposal; full explanation of the vendor’s billing for goods and services, including a breakdown of specific tasks; and the vendor’s financial stability and strength, among others.

All proposals are being solicited through a fair and open process in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5, et seq. Check the township Web site at www.twp.lakewood.nj.us/ for details or call Abraham at 732-364-2500 Ext. 5217.

  1. why does the ldc need all those pros for? thats another million dollars that could go to redevelop town going into another one of BOB SINGERS PET PROJECT THAT HELPS NOBODY!!!!(like the 23 million dollar stadium and the multi million dollar strand theater )enough is enough theaters and stadiums are not charities!!!!!!

  2. Yeah….. I agree! Why does the LDC need to have “all those pros”? Lakewood Twp should take a stand, think out of the box and be original for once! LETS NOT USE PROFESSIONALS AT ALL. Let’s just wing it. It’ll save a lot of money and avoid any controversy. And most importantly, keep all you idiots from making comments about another scandal(s). How bout them apples?

  3. I would like to officially offer my services for public relations and marketing. I will do it free of charge. As for the architect trained in historic preservation, to the best of my knowledge there is nothing left to restore. Anything historic in this town has either been razed, or is beyond repair.
How about an architect trained in getting irwin leventer out of town?

  4. Hershel,
Did you actually send them a proffer or are you just commenting on the topic?
If the former, they should take you up on it if they are serious at all about fiscal responsibility.
