BREAKING UPDATE: Person shot and killed in Lakewood [VIDEO & PHOTOS]

BREAKING UPDATE: The victim has died.

At least one person was seriously injured in a shooting this evening in Lakewood.

According to preliminary information, the victim was shot multiple times, including at least once in the chest, and left injured in the street. The shooting occurred approximately 7:40 p.m. in Coventry Square, a heavily-populated Frum neighborhood.

There are reports as well as a possible second gunshot victim, though it has been unconfirmed.

We also received reports a home was struck by gunfire.

Suspect information was not immediately available.

The victim was transported to MMCSC in serious condition.

Lakewood’s Detective Bureau and CSI are investigating.

Misaskim was not called to the scene.

UPDATE: 8:53 p.m. “I can confirm that we are actively working a homicide,” Lakewood Police Captain Greg Staffordsmith told TLS

  1. Don’t forget that whether or not this person was Jew or Gentile, it was a human being so stop asking if it was or wasn’t. He bled like you would and died like you could. Rest his Soul. Even animals deserve the same compassion and no I don’t mean that “goyim” derogatory term.

    Let’s assume it was a Gentile. What will you do next?

  2. @4theloveofGod: The word goyim/goy is not a derogatory term, goy means nation, goyim means nations, referring to people of non-Jewish nations. If a person says it in a nasty way then it could sound derogatory. But words like gentile or non-jew could also sound derogatory if said in a nasty way. In normal conversation, these words by themselves all have no derogatory connotations. They’re all neutral terms.
