Statistics released by the Lakewood School District suggest that in-person instruction poses no added infection for either teachers or students, and that Covid numbers are in fact lower than the general population.
Additionally, District officials suggest that, of the few cases of infection attributed to in-school transmission, some “may be directly attributed to the failure to follow established protocols,” according to an email release from the District this morning.
The Lakewood School District has spent millions of dollars to mitigate the spread of Covid-19 in public schools, and continues to partner with CHEMED to provide testing and vaccinations in accordance with state guidelines.
