JUST IN: Shop on Route 9 in Howell robbed at gunpoint (PHOTOS)

Authorities are searching for a man who just held up a shop on Route 9, just north of the Lakewood border, sources tell TLS.The suspect reportedly entered a check cashing shop on Route 9 and robbed the place at gunpoint.

The suspect is described as wearing a red and black bandana. He fled in a white pickup truck toward Lakewood.

Anyone with information should call police immediately – and not attempt to approach.

UPDATE: Police released the following information:

At approximately 11:35 AM, an armed robbery occurred at this business. The suspect displayed a silver handgun to the employees. He is described as a white male, 40-50 year old, graying hair and beard, Harley Davidson bandana covering his face and sunglasses.

After taking cash proceeds, he fled in a 2008-2010 Ford 250 pick-up truck south on Rt.9. Photos of the actual suspect vehicle are attached. No one was injured.

    Some dude is rolling around with a loaded gun and not afraid to use it… seriously, let’s not get petty here.

    Yes petty. Unsofisticated. Should be easy to solve with a simple camera (and cheap).
