A rumor today that Farm Fresh was shut because of an unlawful liquor license, is untrue, the supermarket told TLS.
Farm Fresh, the only 24-hour Kosher supermarket in Lakewood, has “a valid liquor license and all the wine is in the right place,” they said. “However, the township found some environmental issue related to the wetlands behind the store.”
“Askonim are working to get the store reopened as soon as possible,” they said.
This happens every couple of years. The TWSP gets busy with some dumb wetlands issue and they shut him down, costing thousands in damages. I hope this can be resolved quickly. This store is crucial to the whole neighborhood and beyond.
Farm Fresh is the best supermarket in Lakewood! All the employees are mentchlich being open 24 hours and their different departments are #1! From their sushi to their deli and fresh fish… they are truly the best! I hope they re open fast and I plan on always continuing to shop only there!! Go Farm Fresh!!
Let’s face it – Farm Fresh has the lowest prices, highest availability and best store layout in Lakewood. 24/7 – who can compete? I can’t wait to go back there! They are honest and have committed staff.
Wow! Good for them! It costs $200k to get a liquor license. If they have the license why are they not cashing in on their 200,000 investment?
This is not an advertisement. Don’t start posting your love for them…;)
@Honest Abe – Im gonna go out on a limb heere ans assume you meant 24/6. At least I hope you did.
All in all farm fresh is a great store and we benefit a lot from it. Ty!
We hope they reopen very soon.
they carry very good Bais Yosef meat [Fishel’s]
Wine Depot just opened with them. Probably because another wine store opened with Gourmet Glatt. Everything is competition and $$$$$$
