[VIDEO BELOW] Authorities are investigating what they believe is the body of the Lakewood teen who went missing Sunday night.
Sources tell TLS the body was found by a woman walking her dog in the woods near Lake Shenandoah at around 2:15 PM this afternoon.
The 18-year-old’s vehicle was found unattended in the nearby park, prompting a large-scale search by local and state authorities.
The body was found in a wooded area about a mile from where the vehicle was found – off of Clover Street.
Authorities from the Lakewood Police Department Detective Bureau, Ocean County CSI and Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating.
The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office said the death being treated as suspicious at this time.
