Starting Tuesday, January 17, the reconstruction of East County Line Road will continue for the next two weeks, weather permitting, police said today.
The westbound lane of East County Line Road will be closed from Somerset Avenue to Twin Oaks Drive and a local detour will be set up.
The eastbound lane of East County Line Road will always be open to allow for access to all the local businesses, residences and synagogues.
The current construction on Somerset Avenue is expected to be completed by the time this new detail is set to begin, police said.
Closures will be approximately between 9am-5pm.
If you should have any questions or need any special assistance within this area, please contact Officer Alexander Guzman of the Lakewood Police Traffic Safety Unit at 732.363.0200 Ext. 5321
Is this closure only during the day or is it at night as well?
Can you please post the exact closure times.
Hey Planning Board pay attention…. we need more roads and less houses!
If you had planned for better and more roads this would not be as big a problem as it is anytime we close a road for any reason. I know it is a County road, but that is not an excuse to not have a plan.
Well said!!!
what are they doing there?
It’s been a nightmare for over a month already!
Closure daily without warning and it changes everyday so if you were able to use somerset ave or east 7th yesterday doesn’t mean you can use it today!!
Kennedy Blvd is supposed to be an open Thru street From Squankum rd until the Parkway. why is it not happening?
Traffic nightmare in south Lakewood everyday the whole year. When the traffic is done by you, you can come to Pine St., Spruce St. etc. To experience it again.
Sure enough, Somerset is also closed!
when you thought it couldn’t get worse………
