PRAYERS: Toms River Police Officer in very serious condition following crash

A Toms River police officer is in very serious condition following a car accident, Police Department Spokesman Ralph Stocco confirmed to TLS.

Officer Brett Hansen was traveling in his personal vehicle on the Garden State Parkway yesterday when the crash occurred.

“He is still being treated at a local hospital and is in very serious condition,” Stocco said.

Stocco added, “We’re all still trying to find the best way to assist his family in this difficult time.”

Hansen is assigned to the patrol division, and has been with the department since 2015.
