A toddler was struck and killed by a vehicle driven by the child’s relative in Lakewood today, officials confirm to TLS.
Sources tell TLS the two-year-old boy was accidentally run over by an aunt who was pulling out of a parking space near the child’s Woodlake Manor home shortly before Noon today.
The child was driven to the hospital by a family member, and police were called. The child succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Lakewood’s Detective Bureau, Traffic & Safety Department, CSI and the Prosecutor’s Office are investigating the tragic incident.

I can’t imagine the horrendous pain of this family to lose a child in such an abrupt and tragic way. May they find strength to go on and comfort and healing in the days and weeks to come. RIP
What a devastating tragedy – My heart goes out to the family that is suffering through this terrible time. May you gain strength and comfort from the Lord who took this child to his eternal reward. We don’t understand why tragedies have to happen but we have to take comfort in knowing that we have a good kind understanding Father in Heaven who knows all.
This is so sad:(

What does this (Misaskim was not called.) Mean?
To Chris.
Misaskim’s purpose is to fulfill a Jewish requirement that every part of a dead Jewish person’s body should be buried (even tiny droplets of blood etc.) This is not required by other religions.
So sorry for your loss. Can not imagine your pain and hope that you can find comfort. May he rest in peace.
May you all be comforted in this terrible time. Our hearts all grieve with you.
@chris
In cases where a deceased person’s body is dismembered or mutilated, Misaskim volunteers work on the scene performing the gruesome but necessary work of securing the body for proper burial.
