PHOTOS: LPD’s SWAT Team gives Autistic child Birthday Party he’ll Never Forget

bday[PHOTOS BELOW] Six-year-old Christopher loves police officers, so when a family member notified the police about his love for them, they found no better way to celebrate his birthday than to gear up and surprise him on his special day.

The officers – flanked by the newly-appointed Chief – walked into Skyzone loaded with a stack of presents containing a custom-made SWAT t-shirt, police stickers and more, bringing the family to tears.

After getting dressed in his new SWTA gear, Christopher got a chance at an inside look of the SWAT truck, and posed for pictures with the officers.

“This is just unreal,” said one of the party’s members. “I’ve never seen anything like this before.”

The family had no words for the surprise, and didn’t stop thanking the men in blue.

“This is what it’s all about,” said newly-appointed Chief Greg Meyer, who helped coordinate the event this young boy will never forget.
