PHOTOS: Lakewood Resident Dovid Egert Sworn in as U.S. Air Force Chaplain

egert 2PHOTOS: On Friday, Dovid Egert, a lifelong resident of Lakewood, affirmed his oath as a United States Air Force Chaplain.

Egert, who is being endorsed by Yeshiva Pirchei Shoshanim of Lakewood, took his oath at McGuire Air Force Base surrounded by family and friends.

Dovid is soon to be joined by his twin brother Shalom Egert. Both men, who are also EMTs, currently work for the Lakewood Township for nearly 3 years.

Dovid is a Talmid of Rabbi Yerucham Shain and a graduate of the Adelphia Yeshiva.

After fulfilling his degree requirements and Semicha at Yeshiva Pirchei Shoshanim, Dovid will be seeking active duty status in the Air Force.

  1. Wow, I remember when Dovid first entered public life when he ran for Township Committee, of course biking for Chai Lifleline, let alone his work for the municipality and becoming an EMT. The Egerts are bouque! Always looking for ways to give back to the community
