Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Man who Robbed Taxi Cab Driver

susPolice are looking for help identifying the picture of the attached suspect, who police say robbed a taxi driver last month.

On March 13, 2014 at approx 7:30 p.m., a taxi cab driver reported that he picked the suspect up at a Walmart in Marlton NJ. While being dropped off in the area of Martin Luther King Drive and Center Street, the unidentified man reached over the front seat and grabbed $50 in cash from the ashtray and a carton of Newport cigarettes.

“A struggle ensued and the driver was struck with the suspects fist and then threatened with further physical violence,” says Dsgt. Greg Staffordsmith. “He then fled the area on foot prior to police arrival.”

During the investigation is was learned that the suspect used a stolen credit card in the Walmart prior to being picked up and then again in a CVS in Lakewood after the robbery.
