Children Who Were Pinned Under Vehicle Discharged From Hospital

Just six days after being rushed to the Hospital with life threatening injuries after being pinned underneath a car, Ben and Suri Pashkus have been discharged from the hospital, a Jersey Shore Medical Center official told TLS.

The children, ages 2 1/2 and 8, lost consciousness after being struck and pinned underneath a vehicle while crossing the Cushman Street with their mother on Sunday afternoon.

A passerby, who was never identified, was at the scene within seconds and began jacking up the vehicle with the car’s jack, ultimately saving their life.

The Emergency Personnel – from all of Lakewood’s Emergency Services – who assisted at the scene, will be honored during the next Township Committee meeting. TLS.
