PHOTOS & VIDEO: Funeral of Ocean County Sheriff Bill Polhemus

PHOTOS & VIDEO: Law Enforcement Officers from around Ocean County gathered in Toms River on Friday to pay their last respects for long-time Ocean County Sheriff Bill Polhemus.

Polhemus has served as the Sheriff since 1986, after serving in the Seaside Heights Police Department. He retired from the department as Chief.

A successor will be appointed by the Governor. Undersheriff William T. Sommeling is currently serving in his place until a replacement is named.
