LCSW Takes Prolific Serial Burglar Off The Streets Of Lakewood

LCSW was successful in taking a serial and wanted burglar off the streets of Lakewood, TLS has learned. The volunteer organization received a call in the evening hoursThursday from a homeowner who said he opened his porch door to be confronted by a black male.

When asked what he was doing there, the man asked the homeowner if he needed his leaves to be raked, and then fled the area.

Multiple LCSW untis responded to the area and due to the quick response managed to get a visual on the man.

Units observed the man for any further suspicious activity, and sure enough they found what they were looking for.

Several minutes later the man was seen by the members trying to pry open a home window from a resident in the Lexington Avenue area.

But when the suspect realized he was spotted, he took off running. But the members kept an eye on the suspect, and witnessed him running into a nearby apartment.

Police were immediately called and respomded wihting minutes.

The officers knocked on the door to the apartment, and sure enough the suspect was inside. He was arrested an dtaken into custody.

It turns out, the suspect was serial burglar wanted by police, and his arrest pleased the entired department.

Last night, Police Chief Rob Lawson upon learning of the arrest released the following statement to LCSW:

“I saw the police report today concerning the arrest of one of our most prolific serial burglars due to your quick thinking and actions. Thank you for taking such decisive actions and enabling us to remove one of our most active burglars from the streets of our town. Members of LCSW are to be commended for providing such a valuable service to the PD and the Lakewood Community.” TLS.

  1. fortunately, another stupid criminal (like the one who was on T.R. on a motorcycle asking people if they wanted their leaves raked) what a dummy! why would you run into your apartment if you’re being followed?….duh?

  2. Lets get a picture of him up on the site!!! Isn’t that the new law that was posted a few days ago? That in State of Emergency the police must release his photo upon media request!! Lakewood Scoop- can you guys get his picture so we can look out for him in 3 weeks when he’s backk at his job??

Menashe- Can you help us feel better and let us know in this case for example how long will he seriously sit for? Why did the Lakewood Judicial system get the laughing stock name that it has gotten? Or is it not such a laughing stock?

  3. Thank you for your steadfast support of this wonderful group. Us in the community watch very proudly when you, the official Police Department work hand in hand with these volunteers.

    Much Appreciated Rob-
