Trash Pickup Schedule For Hurricane Sandy

Officials have notified TLS that there will be regular trash pickup tomorrow, Monday. Tuesday’s trash pickup was cancelled. Those scheduled to have their trash picked up on Tuesday, will instead have their trash picked up on Wednesday.

Additionally, the Department of Public Works will try to pick up whatever bulk pickup possible, on Wednesday.

  1. Nobody should be out working in this type of storm.Wait till the storm passes then worry about garbage.There will trees and powerlines down stay safe and wait it out.

  2. I guess garbage its more important than anything in this town.DPW workers should call out tomorrow and stay with their families until conditions are better.

  3. We stand with out trash workers. OFCOURSE for many comments above, if the situation warrants it that they DPW will ground the crew and stay home… Cmon now.

  4. i would assume that after the weekend everyones trash cans are full and in a storm of this magnatude full garbage cans would be a real safety hazard. common sense people!

  5. Trash is so unimportant in the grand scheme of life. Human life is so much more important. How selfish can we be?
    God forgive us for not considering other before our garbage collection.
