Learn & Network Announces Nationwide Parnassah Expo At Meadowlands Expositions Center

With the economy at a tipping point, a historic opportunity to advance in the business world could not have come at a better time. Following months of arduous work, and last year’s overly successful Parnassah Expo, Lakewood’s Learn and Network organization announced today that it has secured February 12th, 2013 as the date for its second Parnassah Expo, to take place at the Meadowlands Expositions Center.

The “Nationwide Parnassah Expo and Networking Event” is set to significantly eclipse, in both quality and quantity, the inaugural Parnassah Expo in Lakewood last winter, which was attended by over 7,000 people and let to an untold number of job placements and business advances.

Learn and Network founder R’ Duvi Honig relates that the upcoming Expo takes the concept to an entirely new level, offering every useful business tool for “Every Stage, Every Age.”

“The 60,000 plus square foot Expo floor will feature businessmen, organizations, employers, investors and professional training programs at a level never seen before”, says R’ Honig. “There will be special networking centers and investment centers to help aspiring and active businessmen gain additional financial, intellectual and human resources for their ventures.”

R’ Honig adds that the Expo puts a tremendous emphasis on business service companies that help anyone in their field run a more efficient and profitable business. The highlight of the expo will be the revolutionary “Section 5” featuring sections in the real estate, health care, technology and “other” fields. Every attendee will be able to gain immensely, says R’ Honig.

Businesses of all sizes, including some well-known multinational corporations from across the United States and Canada are expected to partake in the Expo.

“Our community’s most prominent successful businessmen will be present to give workshops and one-on-one advice. Advertising and outreach for the event will be conducted in a cross section of American Jewish communities, and attendance is expected to set a record, b’ezras Hashem”, R’ Honig says.

  1. Wow, R’ Duvy, this is unbelievable. I heard that Johnson & johnson, feeding off their success from the last expo, will be doubling their space & staff this time. Other companies in the cyclical field, like colgate-palmolive, Bausch & Lomb, Merck, glaxo-Smith-Klein,kraft Foods, Nabisco & Frito-Lays are also exhibiting & hiring this year. Hatzlachah. Dudi b.

  2. Young Orthodox Families are finding steady work in South Bend, IN. Pre-K thru Yeshiva/HS and Bais Yaakov, various minyanim, lots of learning, JOBS: esp. Therapists, Physicians, Financial, IT, Engineers, College Instructors and many others.
For example: Two Nursing Home Admin. For Frum owned homes. Email: [email protected]

  3. Yes good job and thank you DovI. Bear in mind as the parnsa expo expands its network more professionalism is required. The norm is to wear a suit and tie by carrer fairs. And no drinking coffee while talking to interviewers. while not every job requires that professionalism many do. Please do not turn off those potential companies from attending.

  4. So that is the big question. Has anyone landed a job from last years expo? please post if you did. There was a lot of controversy that most of the booths were just companies trying to sell you things, like computer training, etc.

  5. Businesses need skilled employees. The school distict can do a lot to prepare our citizens for work. Last year, I planned the following free courses for women in the D wing of LHS:

    1) Microsoft Office Suite–Access (data based), Excel, Word and Power Point.

    2) Web Design–Dreamweaver (Adobe Creative Suite), Photoshop, and Illustrator.

I had certified Microsoft teachers who agreed to instruct at $40 an hour. I worked out an agreement with the Agudah PCS to do job placements. Private courses run up to $1400. Why can’t my kids and those of my neighbor’s also benefit from our public burden?

The courses and all the others that we can do at almost no cost, never happened. Ms. SIlva ignored my emails.

Nothing will ever happen until we have one of our own residents who shares in our taxes and tuitions, who understands the tzar gidol banim of frum parents and their financial burden in teaching their children a trade, who lives and breathes Lakewood and is connected to the local community and its leaders, in command of our central office.

  6. Following Johnson & Johnson’s lead , who hired from last expo, this year Merck, Nabisco, whole Foods, Glaxo-Smith-Kline, Penske, PepsiCo, 3M, Dean-Ritter, Betty Crocker, Citibank, Dorito’s-Lays, News Corp, Farm Fresh & other Fortune 500 Compaies are all having booths looking to hire. Thank you, R’ Duvy for putting this together. Dudi B.
