  1. Can’t believe they got a new attorney. Michael I is the biggest advocate for the children of Lakewood and new jersey.

  2. MR I, there are those in lakewood that will never forget what you did for them and their families as attorny for the BOE. you know who we are and we love you. it brings tears to my eyes (literaly) to see this post. hashem should bless you and your family with gizunt, parnasah and nachas. C and M.

  3. History lesson: Why did the boe of lakewood hire Michael I? Because he was sueing them and winning every time. As a parent with a down syndrome child i tell you that every boe in nj is scared of him. Lakewood was lucky to have him.
Can’t wait for him to start sueing again. Mark my words he will be back with in 2 years. Meanwhile we will all suffer.

  4. For the first time in a decade the children hava a chance. I am so happy that lakewood has a new atttorney and a new direction. Both the NP’S and the PUBS will have a fighting chance to improve.

  5. Mazel tov Mr Fink and the new crew! Wishing you all much luck. Thank you for your devotion and hard work. We desperately needed this change. You guys obviously dont waste time and get to the point!

  6. While you might not agee with everything Michael did, he was always there for the special children of this town and their parents. He had a special place in his heart for them and their families.

Michael, We wil never never never forget what you have done for our child.

  7. This is amazaing. This is the first time that the Board of Ed meetings were so respectful and proffessional. The new Board has already begun turning around the Board of Ed from the circus that it was until now.

Congratulations to Yoni and Chezky for starting this long process, at a time when the cards were stacked against you, and nobody thought you would ever succeed.

The Ribono shel Oilam is with you, and may you continue to succeed in turning around the Board of Ed from the circus that it was, to the a beautiful Kidush Hashem.

  8. When Obama loses the election in November 2012, some people will cry “Oiy Obama, we will miss you, you secretly saved my life. You had a special place in your heart for people like me.”

Yes, there will always be comments like these. It doesn’t change the fact that its time to go.

  9. to number 20- Your missing the point! The lawyers fees come directly from the TOWNS BOE money. When he was sueing and winning cases, it was against the state of NJ! This is why he was removed- so our taxes should go down.

  10. To # 36,

You are WRONG. MI represented special needs students against our local BOE. The BOE lawyer at that time was being paid from our local tax dollars to defend the administration, which was on the wrong side of the law according to the court rulings.

Really now.. When did you graduate law school?

  11. If you watched the video you saw mr seitler say that there not cutting any services which is great (didn’t know that was even up in the air) but my problem is that as Lakewood grows it’s going to need more services. Does he plan on adding services, more kids more needs,?? It sounds like they just want to cut taxes??

  12. The law is simple, If G-D forbid u have a child who is being denied services and you the parents hire a attorney to sue the district, if you prevail the district of whom you sued must reimburse the parents.

  13. To yid: don’t know anybody who’s going to miss Obama, sorry. It’s probably people like you that think it was smart to get rid of Michael. Sad day for the klal.

  14. Although he is no longer the board attorney, is he still under contract as the Non-Public Special Ed Consultant? Or the Title 1 Coordinator? Does he still hold these positions?

  15. this is a very sad situation for all the children in lakewood ,as a former board member and worked with Michael very often ,i realized that no one in town cares about every child ,especially special children .We never lost a law suit ,never lost an audit ,or any other matters that the Department of education ever thru at us ,which in means were million dollar law suits ,there is an expression CHEAP IS EXPENSIVE i hope im wrong but time will tell , no one knows all the board of education laws and also laws regarding all the titles which we all gain a tremendous amount ,hope this new guy knows and cares half of what Michael knows and cared. HATZLACHA RABAH to us all and most of all a very big YASHER KOACH to Michael for all that he has done

  16. MI even though you are no longer on the board, everything that you did for the klall will NEVER be forgotten, you have a heart of gold and an amazing person who we should all learn from!!!
Hashem should give you strength to continue your avodas hakodesh!
    we love you.
