PHOTOS: [UPDATED ALBUMS 6:15 PM] An estimated 100,000 people flooded the streets of the Mir Center today, attending the Levaya of their beloved Rosh Hayeshivah, Hagaon Reb Nosson Tzvi Finkel Zatzal. Attended by many Gedolim from around Eretz Yisroel, the Levaya was short, due to the large crowd.
The crowd was Melave the Aron through the streets of the MIR plaza and up to Har Hamenuchos where the Rosh Hayeshivah is now being buried near the Kever of the MIR Rosh Hayeshivah Hagaon Reb Chaim Shmulevitz Zatzal.
At The Levaya, Harav Shteinman announced that the Rosh Hayeshivah’s eldest son, Harav Lazer Yudel will assume the position of his father. He is 46. (photo)
Also seen in the photos, is what is possibly the last photo taken of the Rosh Hayeshivah, being Menachem Avol the Halperin family in Bnei Brak just several hours before the Rosh Hayeshiva’s Petirah.

It’s a sad day for Klal Yirsroel. I learned for a while in Reb Nosson Tzvi’s chaburah when R’ Beinish was still rosh yeshiva. He was not only a tzaddik, but such a kind and gentle man. We will miss him dearly.
Please keep us updated when & where hespeidim for the R”Y ZT”L will take place in Lakewood.
