Missionaries Making Their Way From Door-To-Door

missionaries raintree pic2VIDEO: Missionaries aren’t yet giving up on Lakewood, so it seems. Starting at about 9:30 AM this morning, residents in the Raintree area began receiving knocks on their doors being offered Missionary material. Residents say at least three men were going from door-to-door offering the Christian material.

It’s unclear if it is related to Friday’s incident.

Similar material – including books and a DVD – was distributed to many Lakewood residents in the past months, as reported here.

According to Rabbonim, the material should not be accepted into ones home, and immediately discarded if received via mail. TLS-NA.

  1. IF they see a Mezuza – Let them move on!!!!

There are many non- Jews living in the area who are Christians that may welcome them.

It’s the Missionaries that specifically want to “save the Jewish soul” and are looking for the mezuza on the doors to instigate a conversation. THEY DONT BELONG HERE and ARE NOT WELCOME

WE LOVE OUR RELIGION. AND YOU MAY LOVE YOURS. FREEDOM OF RELIGION.
WHAT MAKES LAKEWOOD AND AMERICA SPECIAL IS THE MANY DIVERSE RELIGIONS LIVING SIDE BY SIDE- RESPECTING EACH OTHER.

  2. I have had in the past people come to my door and just say sorry not interested ,have a nice day ! they do have the right to express thier views but I also have the right to not listen and close my door ,its that easy

  3. I wonder if you post a sign on your front door “please dont knock or ring the bell if you want to give us any religous materials from any religion” would it than be against to law to disturb peoples peace & quiet ,like the dont call law by telephone for people who signed up not to be called for any advertisments.Just wondering !

  4. Their religion says it’s a mitzva to spread the Word, so according to them they’re doing a mitzva. We don’t have to answer the door or accept anything from them.

  5. many years ago some missionaries came to our house to give us a message. My father told them “we got our message directly from G-D on Mt Sinai some 3000 years ago and the message is still valid so now get out of here” and he slammed the door in their faces.

  6. Hey, everyone. This has been going on for centuries. B”H, in the USA, all they do is give out brochures and DVDs. We always had it in Boro Park when I was growing up too and it won’t stop here either. That’s the way it is. JUST SAY NO and chill out.

  7. I am Christian and I find them annoying. If I wanted to convert to another type of Christianity I’d go find it myself. I know they are taught differently, but I believe religion is personal and find it rude to push one person’s beliefs on another.

  8. I’ve lived in raintree for over 27 years and they do it almost every year it’s nothing new either don’t answer the door or say not interested.

  9. I would also like an anti soliciting law. Then I won’t have people knocking on my door asking for donations for what I have no idea, Israel, rabbinical schools, girls or boys schools and so on. I get people coming to my door maybe once a week and I don’t even understand what they’re saying, but I can see that they are seeking donations for something.

  10. i once had a soliciter at my door, and engaged him in conversation for an hour and wouldn`t let him go. they never came back. please engage them, give them a taste of their own medicine.

  11. They are Mormon and seen all over Lakewood going door to door and they are just preaching the word and to them it is a good thing. we should not be offended in anyway all we have to do is not answer the door or just sa no ty we are not interested.
