PHOTOS & VIDEO [Updated 11:20 p.m.] The Satmar Rebbe of Williamsburg, Reb Zalman Leib Teitelbaum Shlita arrived to Lakewood this afternoon, where he will remain until later this evening. The primary reason for the Rebbe’s visit, is for the Asra Kadisha event which will be taking place 10:00 p.m. this evening at the former Bais Yaakov Elementary building on 5th Street and Madison Avenue.
Shortly after the Rebbe’s Arrival, the Rebbe paid a visit to the Vorhand residence in Whispering Pines, followed by a visit to a Yeshivah and then to the Satmar Dayan.
The Rebbe will be returning home later this evening.
I thought the Satmar Rebbe lived in Kiryas Joel?
#1, No, the Satmar Rebbe lives in Williamsburg, his brother lives in Kiryas Joel.
there are two rebbes one in kiryas yoel the other in williamsberg. the dynasty is split.
