  1. But LPD is working hard to keep the streets of lakewood safe by ticketing Hatzoloh members for having two siren lights!!! Go understand that!!!

  2. is the home owner a frum yid? is he in serious condition?.
its time for us to buy guns and keep it next to the bed i heard its pretty easy to get a license for a gun

  3. # 8 – A gun is only good if you can get to it before the intruder gets to you. If you’re in the wrong room at the time you’re out of luck.

    # 9 – Set your alarm during the day too. This happened this MORNING!

A helicopter is flying overhead now.

  4. When it comes to thugs, I live by a few rules-

    1. “You wanted my attention, you got it.”
    2. “You wanted to enter my home illegally, now your gonna stay.”
    3. “Trespassers will be shot, survivors shot again.”
    4. “Id rather be judged by 12, then carried by 6.”
    5. “Forget the dog, beware of owner.”

  5. Mr. Consertavive,
    When responding to the call after the thug shoots you first, I live by the rules too;

    1) Only one 51 candlepower blue light in the center of my roof. (I know the law was updated a couple of years ago but I figure if Dennis is still enforcing it, I better obey it)
    2) I sit in traffic on River Ave. for 1/4 mile without attempting to pass. I feel terrible that you are bleeding to death but the law applies to everyone – no exceptions!
    3) I dutifully wait by every traffic light – I’m sure that there are other responders that can get to you first allthough they are waiting at the same light.
    4) I do not begin to treat you until I find a legal parking space. This being Lakewood it may take an extra few minutes but don’t feel bad – the law applies to everyone.
    5) I do not call for Medics because all the extra unnesary responders just end up blocking traffic – besides there are first responders on scene already – why do we need so many people.

  6. ok, the numbers are off, but I think you can figure out who I was commenting on. Any word on the homeowner? I don’t usually see people there, just cars, so I’m not sure who lives there. I know the other house the people recently moved.

  7. that house is just north of oak street on the west side of albert ave.
that is the old pine acres section, not pine acres. the frums live next door south of that house.

  8. hello any updates on homeowners condition and as to the investigation?? Is the COP going to make a press release as too whats happening in this town. i guess until it happens it the good neighborhoods the rest of us are easy targets. how about some posts on the important stuff.

  9. actually, even though I think this neighborhood is older, on my tax map it says Pine Acres. Old Pine Acres is the neighborhood where those shootings/murder took place a couple months ago on/near Ronald Ave, across from the park on New Hampshire Ave. heading south. Technically, the western part of Albert Ave. north of Oak St. is Lakewood Pines, which extends west towards Vine St. If you really want to be confused, south of Oak along Vine is called Lakewood Pines River Ave. Section. It should all get renamed, since it will be built up differently than expected.

  10. TO EMT-B:
    1) “Only one 51 candlepower blue light” – 1 whelen talon that has 2pods is more than enough. i own it- and its the only light i have ever needed in the front of my car. stop the childish games buddy.

    2) I sit in traffic on River Ave. for 1/4 mile without attempting to pass. – GOOD!!! i dont need you killing anyone’s mother or father, or crashing into a car with a baby- JUST TO SAVE ME. thats life, you cant place anyone else in danger just to save my life. IM NO MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANYONE YOU END UP CRASHING INTO.

    3) I dutifully wait by every traffic light- GOOD!! i waited at every traffic light as a fireman, and no one died on my watch. as i approached traffic lights, id turn off my lights, and when the light turned green- i put them on again so intersection traffic doesnt get confused.

    4) I do not begin to treat you until I find a legal parking space.- GOOD YET AGAIN!! your vehicle blocking access to an ambulance or a fire truck, or a police car- IS NO GOOD just because you want to be a renegade and park where ever you want.

    5) I do not call for Medics because all the extra unnesary responders just end up blocking traffic – THATS JUST FOOLISH FLUFF. if there is a trauma patient, county would know this- and get an acls unit on the way already.

-Part of being a fireman/police officer/emt/security officer/soldier or anyone else in uniform representing a group of trained professionals that the common citizens rely on- is understanding YOU REPRESENT THE WHOLE TEAM & ANYONE ELSE IN UNIFORM. You are to maintain composure, act in a cool calm collected fashion, and to NEVER- EVER- endanger anyone innocent to save another. I have been a fireman for many years, and never owned a siren, only had 1 dual whelen talon in the front. It got me through very thick traffic, and when the traffic was too congested- i waited!!

  11. Mr. Conservative,
Thank you for clarifying to the community why Hatzolah is necesary. Much appreciated.

As an aside, do you think you can convince every municipality that one dual talon is good enough for their police cars, ambulances and fire trucks?

  12. 21, you must be living in wonderland. One talon ain’t worth nothin’ on River Ave. This isn’t some rural area – Lakewood is a real city with lots of congestion.

  13. to # 21 I hope u are never the responder to me or anyone i know. You sound like a real responsible guy turning off your lights at traffic lights what do u think lights are for? going with the flow of traffic? of course emergency vehicles have to be careful but people are supposed to veer off to side and the emergency vehicle can pass, which is probably what happened yesterday and the officer got confused because of his tinted windows. All hatzoloh members are heavily scrutinized to make sure they are highly responsible people. It is not easy to become a member only because hatzoloh does not want a bunch of loose cannons running around

  14. Mr. Conservative
I’m not sure why I’m trying to talk logic to a shoiteh like you. I would suggest taking your dual headed talon down River Ave & checking yourself into Shore Behavioral. I’m sure some doctor over there would be able to diagnose your insistence that all Emergency vehicles park legally before they treat you for a gunshot wound.

  15. Most people posting on this topic are too busy discussing the way LPDs way of handling emergencies or who they ticket, whether the intruder is illegal to stop for a moment and think about the fact that we can all be targets. Its an epidemic all over, read the papers cars are getting broken into in almost every neighboring town. Lets praise LPD for all the times they are able to solve a crime instead of criticize them. Lets be a little more thankful than bashful.

  16. OK lets gets this straight, somebody was stabbed and here we are talking about a Hatzolah member or any EMT for the sake of argument and how they can or cannot break the law. WOW!!!

  17. # 30,
Although you are correct, the reason I chose to answer him is because his sick outlook is mirrored by other people and by some police officers. This opinion is what makes a cop comfortable stopping a member on a call because he doesn’t like the amount of lights he is displaying.
I understand well enough that Mr. Conservative will not be moved by all the logic in the world – especially since its a jewish life being saved, he can’t even begin to see the legitimacy of the argument. By ridiculing his position & pointing out the absolute stupidity of his argument, I hope to remind ourselves how important it is to think like a yid & recognize the supreme importance of saving a life and not C”V to fall prey to our enemies’ way of thinking.
