LPD Captain Greg Miick To Retire This Year

miick_lawson[VIDEO] Police Chief Rob Lawson has publicly confirmed yesterday, what many have been buzzing about over the last few months. And that is, that Captain Greg Miick (pictured left) of the Lakewood Police Department, will be retiring this year. “This is his last year for this event, at least as a sworn officer of the Police Department, he is retiring”, Police Chief Lawson said of Captain Miick, the organizer of the Night Out Against Crime event.

Captain Greg Miick has been with the Lakewood Police Department for approximately 35 years, during which time he became the 3rd highest ranking official in the department, together with Captain Michael Mooney.

His son, Erik Miick, has joined the Police Department about 5 years ago.
