  1. #1 Where you there when the officer crashed? Do you know for a fact what happened? Tell us all, we want to know. You seem to have the inside scoop (so to speak).

  2. our prayers are with the officer and the entire LPD. get well soon and thank you for being out there all the time.
i am ashamed of myself that it takes an incident for me/us to appreciate what the men and women in uniform do for us every day.
    THANK YOU

  3. LPD- you guys do a good job in a town that never appreciates anything.

Its either “why you be harassin” or “you aint be fast enuff” or “why iz you on da phone” is all you hear from many of the residents…. its never a thank you, its never any appreciation- and its always gonna be your fault why the drug dealing criminal is in jail. its always “where waz you!” when ‘moma’s lil boy’ gets shot & killing with his gang.

Well im here to tell you- on behalf of all the ‘normal’ people in town & neighboring area’s…. Thank you for your service. thank you for noticing danger & not looking the other way. may your battle-buddy recover quickly.

  4. should of done one off the older cars!!

and people the same way a reg person gets in to a accident so to can a cop who is the same human as u.

they work hard and give em credit. we all know some of them are egotistic but so are people in all other sectors of the world.

Thank You to all officers for keeping us safe.

All I see is comments wishing a speedy recovery and appreciation for what the L.P. dose, so I don’t know what world you live in.

  6. #8 you have suome “chutzpah” saying “LPD- you guys do a good job in a town that never appreciates anything.” How dare you say in a town that NEVER appreciate anything. Not sure which part of town you are from but the MAJORITY of Lakewood appreciated the fine job that LPD does. Lots of us are amazed at the great detective work they do helping w/ robberies etc. Please talk for yourself! Whne LPD makes mistakes like evryone does Lakewood expects them to “fess-up” to it. People like the truth. The truth is Lakewood appreciated LPD!

  7. to geshmakerrr: “Well im here to tell you- on behalf of all the ‘normal’ people in town & neighboring area’s…. Thank you for your service.”

then you happen to fall into the ‘normal’ category.
you dont deal with the public- you live in your secular complex- and you dont see the outside world. i know & im sure LPD knows the people i speak off.

  8. to #10 : “All I see is comments wishing a speedy recovery and appreciation for what the L.P. dose, so I don’t know what world you live in.”

WHAT WORLD DO YOU LIVE IN? so out of 9nice comments, your basing my state post to be false?
im talking about the residents of lakewood that still are not up because they are still high from saturday. the residents that shoot at lakewood officers in the face, the residents that beat rabbi’s with baseballs bats, the residents that run over bikers and keep going because they are suspended & have warrants….. so open your eyes buddy- 9 comments wishing health isnt ALL of lakewood.
thanks for playing- come back soon.

  9. Not sure what you mean by “I live in my secular complex.” Ocer the years I have been very involved w/ people in this town. I have been dealing w/ people for many years and I am aware that the majority of people are peace loving “normal” and very understanding people. Occasonaly you will find a “rotten egg” that is what it is; DONT paint Lakewood w/ your “wide” brush because one person says a comment – thats just not fair.

  10. #15– “Where do you keep the lists of the people who you call “not normal” ?”

There is no list- just stories classified in news paper articles, police reports, and all over buidings in lakewood in the form of ‘TAGS’.
Lakewood houses scum that shoots at police officers conducting a drug raid, those that run over people on a motorcycle & keep going, those that kill 16yr boy’s walking from quick check, and those that spray gang tags all over the town. Those that blame police officers dressed in SWAT gear getting 2 drug dealers off the street for there daughter now loosing sleep. Lakewood has multiple sect’s of the bloods gang, mexicans gangs, etc- those are the NON-NORMAL residents in lakewood that will NEVER appreciate a police officer’s work. (whats so hard here to understand?) lakewood has great people- but also alot of bad people. just face facts.

  11. TO #16: “majority of people are peace loving “normal” and very understanding people. Occasonaly you will find a “rotten egg” that is what it is; DONT paint Lakewood w/ your “wide” brush”

YOU LET ALL THE REAL ESTATE AGENTS KNOW HOW YOU FEEL… BECAUSE OF THE CRIME RATES ALONE- THE HOUSE VALUES OF LAKEWOOD ARE PAINTED WITH THE SAME BRUSH IM USING. 😉

  12. It seems pretty clear, that Mr. Conservative really thinks VERY highly of himself. He also has plenty of time on his hands. This is not a good combination. Either he tones down his haughty comments, or perhaps he should be banned from this blog. A person with such a snooty attitutude will only cause aggravation to the readers. I hope that Mr. Conservative will give this some thought. He seems intelligent, and may have some good insight, but his attitude really must change.
    Thanks.

  13. The first comment posted was a stupid comment and an assumption I think that is why mr conversation said what he did back off a little everyone it was annoyong to read so he reacted

  14. #20 – thank you… someone with a brain.

i think people need to stop taking certain things so personally. if your a good, appreciative citizen, my original post was not towards you.
i was speaking about/towards the people that complain about police officers driving fast & going through red lights. – those are the same ones that then complain about the cops not getting there fast enough when there “lil boy” gets shot for dealing drugs.

bottom line is- thank you LPD.
thank you for working holidays, nights, bad weather, and in dangerous environments. i hope a easy & speedy recovery to your officer.

  15. why are there so many stupid comments? there was a Lakewood Police officer injured in this accident. they protect you..if you are not interested in the story ..why make comments that do not pretend to like it here and then bash the very people that protect you..if you are not happy …Move!!

  16. Officer Kowalski has been treated and released form the hospital and is home re-cooperating from the accident. Get well soon Steve.

  17. Mr not so conservstive u have been a very insulting douce and only one type acts this way. The ones that feel above the — cause they hide behind tin. Whatever ur issues are, us as civilians dont need to be catorgorized by those like you. Those like you is what sets the tone for the name callers and haters of justice. Either u made ur time or ur still in the buisness is my guess. You should learn or be ordered to learn to be alittle sensitive to those who are asking for help for their child whos been shot. The kid may be a low life but the parent may be the most upstanding citizen of this town or anywhere and their child was just one of those circumstances. Im willling to bet a weeks pay that you have family that you rather not acknowledge. And if thats revealed does that make you less of a upstanding person? You’re always belittling everyone thats not of your peers abusing ur power and the more u run your mouth the clearer it becomes as to who ur true contradicting charactor is. #16 offered some good advice I agree too.
Its better to stay quiet and appear smart than to open ur mouth and remove all doubt.

  18. to #27. Your misquote in the last sentence was very revealing! The actual quote is “It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt” (A. Lincoln).

  19. God bless the LPD officers and get best wishes for a speedy recovery, Officer. I was involved in a really terrible MVA not too long ago and the LPD officers were on the scene in a flash and extremely helpful. Thank for LPD!!!! 🙂
