  1. Don’t blame the police dept. The honus should be placed on landlords that have rented to the illegals. When you bring that kind of element into a town what can you expect. It is time to get the Rebbes involved. They need to put out the word NOT TO RENT anymore. LIVE IN IT OR SELL IT

  2. Yes, where are hte police? Especially given the obscene amounts of money officers make in this town (the highest paid in the whole Ocean County)!

  3. The LPD do not have x-ray vision nor are they omnipresent and the comments lately critizing the officers of the LPD can only be described as ignorant at best. Yes, it is their goal to be proactive rather then reactive but there are some situations that one can only react to due to the circumstances. We can all help prevent crimes ouselves by making sure to lock the doors and windows of our homes, business’s, vehicles and schools as well as keeping exterior lights on at night to deter theft and vandalism. I am confident that with the cooperation of residents and watch groups like the LCSW, the LPD will gather the evidence and information needed to make arrests and bring resolve to the victims of the recent events.

  4. I think it’s about time everyone would just open there eyes and read the newspapers. Lakewood is full of gangs and the key is to help the kids stay off the street and involved in school so they wont join. The Blood, the Crips, MS13 etc. They are all here and they do what they want till they get arrested. So support the police they do what they can. How come the building had no alarm? Ya think that might have helped.
