Tornado Touches Down in New Jersey; Local Residents Affected by Storm

The NWS determined a “landspout” tornado touched down in Lawrence Township, NJ, late Friday afternoon, around 6 p.m.

Its 80 mph winds turned vehicles on their side.

There was also a waterspout in Barnegat Bay north of the Mathis Bridge.

Locally, many residents in Manchester lost power during the storm on Friday, which also downed trees in and around Lakewood.
